Social Setting Detox
Is provided to individuals who have been using drugs and alcohol or are suffering from withdrawal symptoms. Admissions occur 24 hours a day, 7 days a week depending on availability. Clients are screened for their appropriateness for non-medical detoxification and admitted or referred as appropriate. During the detoxification period, program staff monitor vital signs and behavior of clients, offer emotional support, discuss treatment options with the client, and provide case management and referrals as needed. Detoxification services could last from one to three days based on the client’s needs. A clinical review may be submitted if it is determined that the stabilization period will exceed three days.
